Amanda Seales, a notable American actress and comedian, has faced personal trials, including a miscarriage. Public interest in her romantic life continues to surge, with many curious about her partner’s identity.

Seales is widely recognized for her roles in the series Insecure from 2016 to 2021 and her HBO special I Be Knowin in 2019. Despite her professional achievements, the actress often feels overlooked by Black Hollywood. She has missed invitations to major events like the NAACP Image Awards and BET Awards. Expressing her discontent on Instagram, Amanda has even considered exiting the industry due to this oversight.

Amanda Seales’ Partner Seems to Be Into Engineering Field

In March 2023, Seales revealed, in Hollywood Unlocked’s Facebook video, that she was once in a relationship with her college sweetheart, Devon Wilson. They first crossed paths at Columbia University when they were both nineteen. They dated briefly before parting ways and losing contact for nearly two decades. This period included a five-year stretch where they didn’t communicate at all.

During their time apart, her ex-boyfriend Devon pursued a new career and became a skilled producer and audio engineer. He also got married. The couple eventually reconnected and went public with their relationship, marking their reunion at an event in Beverly Hills on March 26, 2022.

However, it seems Amanda and Devon have separated again. Currently, she is embracing her single status. In a recent segment titled “I Be Knowin,” released on September 15, 2023, she shared insights into her breakup experiences. In the video, Seales described her emotional state with a twist, saying, “It’s like a happy New Year.”

Reflecting on past challenges, especially a tough phase in 2020, Seales has learned that self-confidence is key to overcoming the difficulties of a breakup. Looking ahead, she focuses on what comes next.

Seales and Lil Scrappy Were Also An Item

Lil Scrappy, famed for his appearance on Love & Hip Hop, revealed on The Gauds Show podcast that he was once romantically linked to comedian Amanda. During the podcast, he pondered whether his ex-wife, Bambi, was aware of their past relationship when she interviewed Seales.

Scrappy, who separated from Bambi in the summer of 2023 after having three children, admired Seales’ advocacy for women. He questioned if she had mentioned their previous relationship during Bambi’s interview with her. The details about when Amanda and Lil Scrappy dated remain unclear.

She Dated Her ‘Insecure’ Co-Star Y’lan Noel

In December 2022, during her podcast, Seales opened up about her brief romantic involvement with “Insecure” co-star Y’lan Noel. She fondly recounted a memorable birthday outing her then-boyfriend Noel organized, where they embarked on a boat trip and encountered a group of dolphins.

The date didn’t end there; Noel also surprised her with a visit to an animated painting and a meticulously arranged picnic. Seales enthused that it was the best date she had ever experienced. However, the relationship was short-lived. She revealed a poignant exchange where Noel questioned, “You act like I led you on,” prompting her sharp retort that his romantic gestures were misleading, humorously cautioning him against using dolphin sightings if he was not ready to ignite serious romantic feelings.

Is She Mom? Her Miscarriage

Seales does not have children. But, in the early 2020s, she went through a miscarriage. Initially unsure about motherhood, her perspective shifted when she became pregnant, seeing it as a sign to embrace becoming a mother. However, following the miscarriage, her feelings changed once more. She discussed this emotional journey in a previous candid interview on Facebook.

She Doesn’t Want To Marry

Seales, at 42, shared that she doesn’t view marriage as a personal goal. On “The Real,” she conveyed her openness to the idea but doesn’t consider it essential for a fulfilling relationship.

“Marriage is not that — it’s not a goal for me,” said Amanda to MadameNoire. “If it makes sense one day, fine. Otherwise, we might just buy property together and have a ceremony that affirms our commitment, which has its own significance.”

She further explained, “At this point in my life, involving the government in my relationship doesn’t feel right. We live in a different era now. In the past, marriage was a means for many women to access financial stability and security. Now, we have more options. It’s not about one being better than the other.”

She currently resides in New York.
