Yessir. Back to break you off with another official instrumental. This time around, we get the music from Chiddy Bang’s new single, “Ray Charles.” This is produced by one half of Chiddy Bang – Xaphoon Jones. Great instrumental in my opinion. Check it:

Chiddy and Xaphoon Jones release their latest official single from their upcoming debut album, Breakfast. The album has long been delayed – probably looking for the right album single push – but hopefully we’ll see it in February as planned.  Shout to our friends at GMAD for the link:

The production half of Chiddy Bang, Xaphoon Jones, jacks Big Sean & Kanye’s vocals for “Marvin Gaye & Chardonnay” and gives it his own instrumental interpretations. While I like the original instrumental, this adds a new flavor to the song IMO. Thanks to EM.

Chiddy Bang drops the first formal release from their upcoming LP, Breakfast. This was first debuted a while back live, but here is the CDQ version to enjoy. The chorus reminds me of The Naked and Famous’ “Young Blood“.Thanks to UTS.

Our boy Chiddy raps about rapping for a very long time – such as 9+ hours at MTV’s O Awards. It’s that never-ending Guinness Flow. Peanut Butter and Swelly drops this Friday, so be on the lookout for that Memorial Day Weekend music.

British Pop punk band You Me At Six recruits a Chiddy without the Bang of Xaphoon for their latest release, called “Rescue Me.” It’s my understanding that Chiddy Bang have a great presence in the European scene, so it’s no surprise that MC Chiddy links up with this particular band. This track won’t be included on the band’s upcoming studio album. PhillyChiddy.

On a similar note, the other half of Chiddy Bang, Xaphoon Jones, released his first ‘Monday Morning Instrumental.’  I guess he’ll be releasing these mixes every week on his blog. For the first one, he gives “Stylo” from The Gorillaz the remix treatment.

Reposting for those who missed it earlier in the week – -  I pride myself in discovering new artists early on and just getting that feeling that they’re the next big thing in music. I did that with Wale. I did that with Cudi. And there’s literal proof in the form of writing and interviews before the masses caught on. However, with Chiddy Bang, I was put on by a few HHU followers and I thank them for that. HHU interviewer Taylor first linked with Chiddy back in June to talk about some general topics, but today we get a follow up to see what the guys are up to and what’s changed in their careers.

Our Midwest go-to interviewer Ivan linked up with Chiddy and Xaphoon Jones to speak on the timeline of their recent projects (The Air Swell, The Preview) and the non stop touring life – performing everywhere from Glastonbury to Lollapalooza. Additionally, they say to look out for an official collaboration with UK singer Ellie Goulding, explain what it’s like to perform for people their own age and reveal their craziest college show (Big up to Stanford!).

In our first interview, we had asked them what they thought of the just-released Kanye single “Power.” Following up, the guys give their thoughts on My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Xaphoon commends Justin Vernon’s participation on the album and talks sampling.

Lastly, Chiddy talks about his annual visits to Nigeria to support his people. Watch the intv to hear what good deed he’ll be doing next time he’s out there.

Mr. Peter Parker Talks with Producer Xaphoon Jones about hip hop, How Chiddy bang got started, talks about the Air Swell mixtape and new projects.

I missed this tweet from Xaphoon (one half of Chiddy Bang), but Brilliantly Blunt picked it up and it contains a lot of information. First off, their EP The Preview is set to drop in mid-October. That will contain original music, like this Pharrell produced track.

I believe that the release of their debut album, The Swelly Life, will depend greatly on if they get buzz from The Preview and their following mixtapes. Realistically, I think we would get an album around June-ish. We shall see.

Chiddy Bang – Fuck You (Remix)

Yesterday we made our way to Jersey City, NJ to meet up with techno hip hop group, Chiddy Bang.  They were on the set of their music video for “Good Life”.  We were able to steal them away for a few minutes and interview them.  In this video we talk about their rise to fame, “The Preview”, tour stories and whats next.

I believe this is off of their upcoming album and the formal version of “Swelly Life” has Pharrell on the hook. I know Jabari has heard this song and he co-signs it as being great.
