Yesterday we made our way to Jersey City, NJ to meet up with techno hip hop group, Chiddy Bang.  They were on the set of their music video for “Good Life”.  We were able to steal them away for a few minutes and interview them.  In this video we talk about their rise to fame, “The Preview”, tour stories and whats next.

I believe this is off of their upcoming album and the formal version of “Swelly Life” has Pharrell on the hook. I know Jabari has heard this song and he co-signs it as being great.

Chiddy and DJ Xaphoon take it to the roof top to kick a little something for Myspace Music. Collectively, Chiddy Bang will be rocking out with XV, Donnis and more as they hit the stage for a sold out crowd at Highline Ballroom tomorrow in NYC. I’ll be up in the spot.

While I posted the Jim Jones remix yesterday, I thought about posting the instrumental, but I didn’t have time to search around for it. So here is the official instrumental to Chiddy Bang’s “Opposite of Adults,” produced by Xaphoon Jones.

This literally just went down this morning in the offices of Hot 106 in Providence. Xaphoon created an instrumental and Chiddy did his thing for the radio station. Thanks to The Promo Chick!!!!!!!

Big thanks to A.R. for passing this footage along. Just another reason why I love what these guys are doing and you should pay attention. 2010 is the warm up, and 2011 is theirs to take by storm.

While I truly feel that some hip hop artists remix more obscure tracks by unlikely acts, Chiddy Bang is a collective group that prides themselves in merging hip hop, electronica and indie all together. I actually really like these guys (made up of MC Proto and DJ/Producer Xaphoon Jones) and think they could gather a solid following by the end of 2010. Stay tuned.

Here, they take London songstress Ellie Goulding‘s (pictured above) track and give it the Chiddy Bang remix. Really digging the vibe to this.
