In unsurprising news, the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation is not happy happy with Tyler, the Creator’s MTV VMA win for best new artist. They note his use of the word “Faggot” (and other forms of the word) 213 times in his latest album as being the direct cause of concern. Check below for their blog statement:

First off, take a look at my tweet below. The VMA’s is the most predictable show in the history of shows. They pick the most high profile nominees so they’ll get the most press. The people below pretty much won everything (except Eminem).

Hip Hop winners include Nicki Minaj for “Best Hip Hop Video,” Tyler the Creator for “Best New Artist” (that was fan-voted), and Kanye West for his participation in Katy Perry’s “E.T.” video. And that’s it.

I didn’t watch the VMA’s because I was watching my trusty HBO Programming, but I heard it was a fairly entertaining show. As I mentioned earlier that day, Jay & Ye took the stage to perform. Apparently this was supposed to be a surprise performance because they didn’t announce, nor promote it. No word on what they’ll perform, but I would assume it will be a performance you want to catch.

Little Dwayne records another promo for the upcoming MTV VMA Awards where he talks about putting emotion in to his music. In between that, he raps the lyrics to “John.”

Lil Wayne will be one of the artists performing at MTV’s VMA Awards later in the month. Be on the lookout for that. Or don’t.

I called this the minute it was rumored that ‘Ye would be performing.

“I’d like to get them together. We’ve never really seen them together since then. They were supposed to be together on SNL, but then that didn’t end up happening. We’ll try to think of something clever to do with them, because that would be really fun.”

According to US Magazine, Kanye West is to perform at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards – yea, the same award show where he was swigging a bottle of hennessy before jumping on stage and being a jackass. It’ll be interesting to see if he has a dialogue about Taylor Swift, or, even better, includes her in his performance. (Right, ‘Ye). MTV’s on the perpetual move for ratings, so anything is possible with the right amount of push…

Oh, and look out for a potential drop of music today or some time soon…

I don’t even really know why I’m posting this garbage, but I guess I know some viewers are more in to mainstream stuff than I am. Think about MTV for a second and then think what nominations the kids would wanna see happen…………..yup. Almost every category contains a Lady Gaga, Ke$ha, Beyonce, Eminem and/or Jay-Z.
