Game Gives Track by Track Breakdown of His Album

Billboard sits down with Game to talk about the track on his RED Album. I’ve seen varying opinions about the album on both sides of the spectrum. I, personally, think it’s a pretty solid project.

Game ft. Lil Wayne, Tyler the Creator – Martians vs. Goblins

Game recruits a martian and a goblin for one of the most looked forward to tracks off of the Red Album. Cool shit talking track IMO. Would have liked to hear an actual verse from Wayne, though. Produced by 1500  or Nothin and NO ID.

Game’s “R.E.D. Album” Track List

Game finally releases the official track list, which looks stocked up on features I’m sure many are looking forward to. That “Martians vs Goblins” track, “Good Girls Go Bad” with Drake, collabos with Beanie Sigel, Big Boi, etc. I’m interested in how this will sell.

First Look at Game’s “The R.E.D. Album” Cover Art

Game just revealed the official cover art for his long-delayed R.E.D. Album. I’m honestly not sure what the reception will be, but I’m sure it’ll be worth check out.

Game ft. Chris Brown – Pot Of Gold

Here’s another single off of Game’s RED Album that is a little more appealing to the mainstream than an unofficial Blood anthem. This is the official version as an unfinished version leaked a while back.

Game Reveals Features on “The RED Album”

And here they are: Tyler, The Creator, Dr. Dre, Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Pharell, Wiz Khalifa, Trey Songz, Drake, and Chris Brown. We shall see if his album actually drops in August. Thanks CoS

Game – Red Nation (Live Performance)

Game performs his single without Wayne. Time to pick another single, Game, because the mainstream isn’t buying a blood anthem as your go-to track for the RED Album.

Yawn. Game Reveals New Album Release Date

Yesterday, Game took to his favorite social media network, twitter, to reveal that the RED Album will be dropping in August. We Shall see.

#alliwantis for my fans to know that the R.E.D. album will be in-stores AUGUST 23rd !!! Thanks for the continuous love & support. #REDnation.Just got off a conference call with Jimmy Iovine & @interscope . Aug 23rd is the release date & it’s like a FAT GIRL….. It won’t move !

Quotable: Game Relays News from Jimmy Iovine Regarding His Album

I had a meeting with [Interscope head] Jimmy Iovine last week, and he told me the album was slated for the end of the summer, and it will not be pushed back any more than that. So we’re looking towards late August.

Oh, ok Game. Billboard.

Game Lies About Status of “The RED Album” to Complex

Via Complex:

“I think ‘The KIll’ is the only song [off Purp & Patron] with enough potential to make it on The R.E.D. Album. The R.E.D. Album is pretty much 95 percent done. Until I find a record that is just so amazing to me, and it’s next level and doesn’t sound like anything that’s out, and makes me feel comfortable with it being played on the radio and shooting a video to it, I won’t give R.E.D. Album a date. At this point it’s pretty much in my hands. I had a meeting with Jimmy Iovine and the label heads about a week ago and they gave me the green light to kind of pick a date when I want.

The album is so classy, that I can’t sell it short with any single man. I wanna come with the right song, and make sure it’s a song that’s classic and iconic, and then we’ll know. I’m recording every day for no reason. Pharrell is executive producer and it ain’t gone change. I got Dre producing on the album, I got Premier. Like all the people I’ve wanted on one album, are on this album. I knocked out like two, three joints with Premier before I left on tour, so maybe shit, the end of like October, but, I’m probably gonna use one on the album. Premier sent me the joints he did. Something he don’t never do. Premier don’t send you shit through email, but we’ve been meaning to catch up to each other and work, and he was doing some stuff with Christina Aguilera and some other things so he be everywhere. So he ended up saying, ‘I’ll just send you these joints. I made this for you.’”

Maybe I’ve grown cynical…or maybe I’ve grown smart at understanding what rappers really mean when they give interviews like this. Dude’s put out a few singles, said he couldn’t put the album out all last Spring because of legal issues, put out like 3 mixtapes of material that I’m SURE included tracks off of the original master copy of the album.

Fact of the matter is,  what this explanation translates to me is that the label won’t move forward with promo & marketing until he finds a hit single that kills the radio. He’s smart, too, not really giving a date this time around.

Regardless, when it’s all said and done, I’m actually looking forward to what he put together. Seems like he has access to the industry’s top tier of producers & artists.

Game Working With B.O.B. on the “RED Album”

Game Lies About Singles to Complex

Game spits a little “rapper talk” about his failed singles, which, in translation, means: “The singles sucked, no one bought them, radio didn’t pick them up, and they weren’t strong enough to support an album release…so my album keeps getting pushed back and these tracks won’t make the cd.”

Complex: As far as your other songs, you had a lot of singles out. You had “Krazy,” “Shake,” and “It Must Be Me.” Were you not satisfied with…

Game: No, no. It was Pharrell’s idea to just throw a bunch of songs out. You know I’m saying like, we threw a bunch of shit out just to you know test the waters. That’s it, man.

Complex: So, will those songs still make the album?

Game: No.

Complex: They’ve been cut from the album?

Game: No, “Krazy,” and I think something else, those were for iTunes. Interscope doing a few things where you give songs to iTunes just to let the fans have them earlier and you charge them $.49 for ’em, and that’s what those were. We haven’t put out any real singles yet. The only thing that was on the album that got put out was the Justin Timberlake record, but that was never supposed to be the first single or anything. That was like a good, last, third or fourth single, but it leaked. The label liked it, radio liked it, so they started spinning it. Then another joint leaked, my joint with Robin Thicke and T.I.. When those joints leaked, man, you just gotta let ’em do what they do. Talk about ’em, push them as much as you can, ’cause they might blow—and if they don’t, then it was just a leak. But every time a song leaked I gotta go back in and really give it all I got. I really wish that Robin Thicke and T.I. joint didn’t leak, though, ’cause that was one of my favorite songs on the album.

Complex: We saw some screenshots of “Ain’t No Doubt About It” a while ago. Will the video be released anytime soon?

Game: Man, I don’t know. We shot a video for it; it might be released and it might not. And if it does get released, it might be released after whatever the first or second single is. Just for online purposes only.

Game Breaks Down “Toronto” Rhyme, Says There Are No Disses on the Album

Game talks working with Beanie Sigel as well.

Game ft. Young Joc – We Do It B.I.G.

Late pass. Apparently Game dropped this track over twitter over the weekend and not many people caught wind of it, initially. Features Young Joc, who’s been pretty quiet recently.

Game ft. Young Joc – We Do It B.I.G.

Game ft. Robin Thicke, T.I. – Pushin It (No Shouts)

I’m pretty sure the tagged up version of this dropped the other day, but here is the shout-less version for y’all to enjoy. If I were Game, I’d be pissed at these crucial album leaks. Especially since the album has an indefinite release date now.
