Not that smart to release a mixtape with the same name as your album (I say that because I still feel like people are confused on if his August 3rd release is an album or a mixtape), which is due out in like 5 or 6 days – but I guess Gibbs wanted to get this mixtape out to help build anticipation for his Str8 Killa, No Filla album.

Fresh off his critically acclaimed cameos on The Roots’ How I Got Over, STS linked up with Honey to showcase the two loves of his life: women and sneakers. Reader-acclaimed up-and-comer (and exclusive freestyle series alumnus) Neako has hooked up with DJBooth.net to drop the fourth entry in his ongoing Rubix Cube mixtape series. Rubix Cube Yellow Edition features 16 fresh new tracks by the New Jersey buzzmaker, including Booth-premiered leak “Resume & Name.” Guest appearances on the project come courtesy of Curren$y, Millie Squire, NASA, Dash and AllStar. All songs are produced by the artist himself except “We Up” and “International G Sh*t” (produced by Mike Cash) and “If You Found the Words” (co-produced by Neako and the Junior Boys).

Dnt know if u saw yet but Team Invasion compiled all the shit I’ve done with/for/including Hov for the last few years and calling it Creative Control.. A name I came up with for a series where I’m just working with acapellas and have full Creative Control (nothing at all to do with Dame Dash’s company of the same name)

.. Anyways its pretty much a “best-of” and defntly NOT anything like Presidential Invasion was supposed to be.. Dope nonetheless tho … There , long enough email? #okayBye

I don’t really know of Omari Oneal aka Oh!SoSpectaular, but I took a few minutes to skim through his mixtape and I liked what I heard. I encourage y’all to give this a listen and download if you like:

I like this idea. Instead of releasing one mixtape filled with 20+ tracks, artist Ivan Ibarra is releasing a few of these shorts ‘packs’ with 5 or 6 tracks with a unified theme. In Vol.1, Ibarra gets production from Ira of the Trackoholics, HHU friend N-Dex and B.Ave to give us six “Dealings of the Heart.” You can preview and download the tracks below:

DMV buzzmaker Greenspan has hooked up with DJBooth.net, Federal Reserve Music, Illvibes-DMV.com, Water N Oxygen and Herkules World Promotions to bring fans his third street album, Got Green 2.
