Mikkey Halsted – Nance Boyz (Prod. by Tye Hill)
This is the first leak off PHLI Music Vol. 2, DJ Broadway Streetz’s second collaborative effort with Dave Jeff and the PHLI brand. Mikkey does his thing over a Tye Hill production. Hey, I used to play football with a Tye Hill. Thanks FSD

4-Ize feat. B.O.B. – Let’cha Boy Go
Chicago’s 4-Ize recruits B.O.B. for his latest track. This track has some serious bounce right here, so I encourage y’all to check it out. Produced by C-Note. Thanks to FSD.

King The Hood Savior ft. Beanie Sigel – Stuntin’ For The Robbers
Well, with the introduction of King the Hood Savior (horrible, horrible rap name) and Beanie, here’s another new track from the duo. Beanie Sigel is said be opening up shop with a Chicago division of State Property. Unfortunately, I don’t ever see that expanding beyond the blogs…so, in essence, it’s not going to be much of a movement. Thanks to FSD

Bump J – Letter 2 My Competition (Prod. by No ID)
Weeks before Bump J was arrested on Bank Robbery charges, he was hard at work with No ID on his official debut album. He was also aligning with Kanye’s G.O.O.D. Music imprint and was one step away from inking the deal…

Boo ft. Curren$y – Real Things
Boo (from Boo & Gotti?) gets favor from Curren$y as he presents us with the first track off of his upcoming RedRum project. This are the real laid back tracks that I can never get enough of. Thanks to FSD.

GLC – KGPS
Kilo’s, Grams, Pounds & Scales? This is another leak off GLC’s Respect My Come Up Vol. 2: The Ism, hosted by DJ Pharris, which is due out soon, according to FSD. Some new GLC goodness.

Mikkey Halsted – First Class
Here’s the street single off of Mik’s upcoming Dark Room album, dropping some time this Fall. FSD is told that the album will have a formal release via a label (but no word, yet). Digging this track. Sounds like a Neptunes production but it’s actually Prolyfic. Couple tags because this was snagged to debut on an unofficial mixtape.

GLC – In It For Keeps
GLC seems to be on the grind lately, between his upcoming mixtape and album. FSD provides us with another track from G right here. Also, check the flyer if you wanna attend GLC’s Chicago homecoming show.
GLC – In It For Keeps
GLC – Autumn On They Mind
Following the two tracks that dropped over the weekend, FSD provides another leak to GLC’s upcoming mixtape, Respect My Come Up Vol. 2: The Ism mixed and hosted by DJ Pharris. Really looking forward to this because after this drops, GLC is dropping a full fledged album. This song or G’s flow reminds me of Kanye’s “Spaceship” feature. Autumn on his mind!

Kanye’s “Good Ass Job” Confirmed Tracks **UPDATE**
****Update. Andrew from FSD clarified his statement and says the NAMES of the tracks are 100% real, but not all the production or features are correct. So it looks like we just have song names for sure.
I’m skeptical of posting a tracklists because there are many that float around that are often false. I guess people get a rush out of thinking up track names and tricking people? I don’t know.
But, my always credible Chicago resource, FSD, confirms that ALL of these Kanye West tracks are, in fact, real. The problem lies in that SOME of them are scheduled to be used for the album and others will not be on there. But, again, the key is that all of these tracks have been or will be completed at some capacity. Craziness. Take a gander:
1. Hell Of a Life (feat. Lil’ Wayne) [Kanye West & DJ Toomp]
2. Dark Fantasy [RZA]
3. Power [S1]
4. Chain Heavy (feat. Eminem & Jay-Z) [Kanye West]
5. Ghetto University (feat. T.I.) [Kanye West & DJ Toomp]
6. That’s My Girl (feat. Katy Perry & Kid Cudi) [Kanye West & Jon Brion]
7. Runaway [Kanye West & Q-Tip]
8. Lost In The World (feat. Nicki Minaj & Rick Ross) [Kanye West & No I.D.]
9. Gorgeous (Ode To Kardashians) (feat. Drake & Game & Ludacris) [Kanye West]
10. Monster [Kanye West & DJ Premier]
11. Holding Me Back (feat. Mos Def & Talib Kweli & Phonte) [Kanye West & Madlib]
12. Devil In a New Dress [Pete Rock]
13. The Joy (feat. Common & John Legend) [Kanye West]
14. So Appalled (feat. Drake & Jamie Foxx) [Kanye West & No I.D.]
15. Blame Game [DJ Toomp]
16. Sweat On My Face [DJ Premier]
Rick Ross Interview with FakeShoreDrive
Says FSD:
“As I’m sure most of you know, Rick Ross caused quite a stir while he was in Chicago last week during his promo run for his new album, Teflon Don, which drops tomorrow (July 20th) on Def Jam Recordings. The main reason being his recent hit song – “B.M.F.” – which features a very powerful Chicago name in the chorus…that name being Larry Hoover.
A lot of Chicagoans were confused by said line, and we at FSD felt obligated to ask Ross about his “I think I’m Larry Hoover” claim during the interview held at Dave Jeff’s PHLI store in Hyde Park. Ross handled himself pretty well and kept his cool, but you can tell he’s a bit agitated with a few of our questions. So much in fact that after only three/four questions, he dropped the obligatory “my album is in stores July 20th” and walked off the set in a huff. Treated, indeed.
Ross left PHLI just moments later, and rumors immediately began to swirl claiming that there was plenty tension in the air. These rumors were shot down just hours later when Rick Ross tweeted a picture of himself, E from Infared Music and Larry Hoover Jr. at his release party at Vibe. Is this the end or only the beginning? We don’t know, but you should definitely tune in to see his interview with Ms. Laura Mitchell.

Sarah Green ft. Lupe Fiasco – Dirty Rose
Here’s a new collaboration from Lupe Fiasco and his former 1st & 15th labelmate, Sarah Green. I’m not all that familiar with Sarah, but I’ve heard she has some great talent. Thanks to FSD for the track via DJ Busy.

Rumored Tracklist for Kanye’s Upcoming Album
I wasn’t at a computer from about 4pm yesterday until now, so I’m just catching wind of this whole Kanye thing that went down. I read rumors on twitter that someone had obtained the entire album last night, but it looks like the tracklist is the thing that leaked. Or, I guess I should say, a tentative rumored tracklist. Take it for what it is, by FSD reports that this could be what we are looking forward to on the upcoming KWest album:
1. Hell Of A Life
2. Dark Fantasy
3. Power
4. Chain Heavy
5. Ghetto University
6. That’s My Bitch
7. Runaway
8. Lost In The World
9. Gorgeous
10. Monster
11. Holding Me Back
12. Devil In A New Dress
13. The Joy
14. So Appalled
15. Blame Game
16. Sweat On My Face
And if someone actually does have the full album leak…well…no one man should have all that power…
Go Getters – World Record Holders (Album) [NEW LINK]
Wow what a great piece of Chicago history right here as FSD liberates the original album from the Go Getters. I’ll let FSD speak on this gem:
Once upon a time there was a Chicago music conglomerate known as Kon-Man Productions, which was represented by Hustle, a marketing and promotions company run by Don Crowley and John “Monopoly” Johnson. At the top of the Kon-Man productions pyramid, was a up-and-coming rapper/producer by the name of Kanye West. Kanye had recruited some of Chicago’s top talent to join him on his road to riches and quest for stardom. Producers such as Boogz, Arrowstar and Brian “All Day” Miller helped him on the production side, while emcees such as GLC, Mikkey, Rhymefest, Timmy G, Miss Criss, Shayla G and Really Doe held down microphone duties.
