Here’s a recap of Fat Trel’s Nightmare Before Xmas show down in DC – brought to you by our friend Modi of DCtoBC. Cool show with Trel performing with a live band, but the crowd looks like it sucked judging by this vid. Where’s the energy?

Phil Ade teams up with Fat Trel for the hometown anthem “Where You From” produced by The Official. On “Where You From” Phil and Trel pay tribute to all the hoods in the DMV area.

I’m not going to confirm anything, because as of now all we have is a picture and a few tweets – but it seems like the fat fool from DC has some sort of major label deal in place. He logged on to twitter earlier today to state:

JUS LEFT A MEETING N UNIVERSAL RECORDz! SINGING 2 MYSELF I’M SO I’M I’M SO I’M SO I’M SO PROUD OF ME! FRUM N.E WASHINGTON D.C 2 JEEz n N.Y

…and has been retweeting comments about him signing all day. Let’s say he is signed. That “signing” could mean a lot of things. Sometimes they sign artists to distribute singles and other times they sign development deals. Others with gigantic buzzes (Drake, for example…who is also signed to Universal Republic along with Young Money) they sign for multiple album deals for big bucks.

We shall see what develops. Perhaps I’ll get official word from his management. Regardless of anything – signing or not- it seems like Trel is on the verge.

This compilation features the songs Trel will perform Sunday evening at his most highly coveted concert to date at DC’s iconic U Street Music Hall (12/18). This dude Fat Trel is wild. Although there aren’t specific details, Trel logged on to twitter all morning to let the people know that was in the hospital in Prince Georges County, MD getting stitched up. Why? He says he was stabbed (in the leg), apparently. Here’s what he said:

L T GON KILL ME…BUT IM STILL DOING DEZE SHOWz I GOT KUMMIN UP! AYE YALL…SAY WZUP 2 MY NURSE…MS.HOUSTON…SHE CRYED4 ME…SHE SAY SHE GOT DA VIBE DAT PPL LOVE ME. DAMN…MY NURSE “JUS PRAY” SPEECH ALMOST MADE ME CRY…I DEFINATELY GOTTA GET NURSE HOUSTON A GIFT…SHE CALLED MY TWITTER A “PLATFORM.” DEY GOT 30 MOR MINz OF TIME…DEN IM ROLLIN OUT..DAMN. LFUKKKKKK I GOT STABBED ON SUNDAY!!! Our good friends Modi and Quinn of DCtoBC are giving everyone an early Christmas gift in the form of an energy-filled performance from Fat Trel & co on December 18th. You already know the night will be hype with some surprises in the works.

This dropped a while ago (why yes, I do not hear every single piece of music ever released), but I was just made aware of it today because there’s a music video coming for it soon. It’s that Red & White as The Essence recruits Fat Trel over a Lil Shane production.

This dropped a long time ago, but it just came to my attention this afternoon via twitter so I wanted to throw it up here. This was off Slim’s release over the Summer I believe.

Fat Trel drops a brand new track featuring his fellow #SB gang member Meatchi. This is produced by the Bass Hedz. Not sure if this was supposed to be off of Trel’s Nightmare on E Street or not, which has since been delayed. Check out my review of Trel’s recent NYC performance for CMJ here.

Looks like there are some behind the scenes issues going down with Fat Trel and his management. Trel just tweeted the following:

Translation: Trel dropped his manager and the mixtape is on hold until he gets his situation figured out.
