Fat Joe ft. Diddy – She Likes to Party

I don’t really see much info on this song other than it was a leftover from a previous project. Your standard feel-good song:

Red Cafe adds 2 Chainz and French Montana to his single with Diddy, “Let it Go.” Look for his new mixtape, Hell’s Kitchen, dropping soon.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs On New Ciroc Vodka Campaign, His Brand, Frank Sinatra

Adweek: Your new vodka ad is set to the tune of Sinatra’s “Luck be a Lady.” How did the idea for the spot come about?
Sean “Diddy” Combs: The spot that put Ciroc on the map was the first partnership we did with the Sinatra estate four years ago. I did a huge out-of-the-box buy on CNN, and I knew there would be a lot of traffic because Obama was running for president. And sales went through the roof. It was one of the most impactful ad campaigns in the spirit’s history. Also, for years, people have called me the black Sinatra. So that’s where the whole collaboration came from.

Jay-Z & Puff On Forbes’ 25 Highest Paid Musicians

Same people every year. Touring is the clearest way to millions in the music business these days, as Forbes’ new list of the 25 highest-paid musicians shows. U2 leads the pack with $195 million, due in no small part to their record-breaking “360″ tour, which has grossed more than $700 million over two years. Road warriors Bon Jovi were second with $125 million; Elton John third with $100 million (thanks to a 102-show tour); Lady Gaga was fourth with $90 million and a tour schedule that ran from 2009 until last month; and Michael Bublé was fifth with $70 million, also thanks to a big tour.

According to Forbes, the numbers encompass all pretax income earned from May 2010 to May 2011, before subtracting agent and manager fees. The totals were compiled with the help of data from Pollstar, RIAA and others, as well as interviews with industry insiders including lawyers, managers, concert promoters, agents and, in some cases, the musicians themselves.

Forbes also noted that some musicians were more thrifty with their income than others, noting that Gaga grossed nearly as much in 12 months of touring ($168 million) as Elton John ($204 million), but the costs of her elaborate production dug deep into her bottom line.

Forbes also noted that its list spans in age from Justin Bieber (age 17) to Paul McCartney (68), and that just five solo female acts made the list, as opposed to 13 men. Check the list after the jump:

Puff Brings out Lil B in San Francisco

Yo this dude Diddy. Am I right when I say Puff does anything to stay in the limelight? Yea, I am. Can’t deny his legacy on this hip hop game, but it’s so obvious how he manages to stay relevant – affiliating himself with who’s hot right now and act like it’s a blessing that he’s giving a co-sign. Word to his recent love affair with Rick Ross.

Diddy – Coming Home (Hawaii Five-O Edition)

Puff made his debut on the series Hawaii Five-O last night. It’s actually relatively entertaining. Puff isn’t much of an actor, but he put his best effort forward. With that said, look what Diddy is doin all over twitter now:

Eleven years later and the Birdman still hasn’t expanded his vocabulary. What the question is? LOL at old man Birdman claiming he was 24. You were 31, bro.

Our friends at The Goodie Bag headed down to SXSW last week and got some great footage of some performances. Above is Diddy’s performance at Fader Fort. Below, Black Milk performs 365, Black & Brown, and Deadly Medley at Suite 101:

SXSW Fader Fort Performances

Rather than make a bunch of posts with one video, here are a handful of performances that took place at The Fader’s ‘Fader Fort’ stage at SXSW over the past few days. As far as I can tell, The Fader Fort was the place to be at. Click below for more performance footage from various artists:

Red Cafe & Diddy “Above the Clouds” Blog

Red Cafe and Puff talk about Cafe’s upcoming release of Above the Clouds. Cafe had a release party for the mixtape last night here in NYC.

Surprise. Jay-Z & Puff the Richest in Hip Hop.

I feel like Forbes does these lists like 5 times a year, but this time around we get the top 5 wealthiest in hip hop. Here’s the article:

Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter has had quite a career thus far. Since debuting in 1996 with hip-hop classic Reasonable Doubt, he has sold over 50 million records worldwide. He’s parlayed his musical success into lucrative businesses in the realms of fashion, cuisine and advertising (for more, check out my new Jay-Z book, which hits stores next week). Last year he earned $63 million, tops among hip-hop artists for the third time in four years.

But when it comes to net worth, Jay-Z is number two. The top spot goes to Sean “Diddy” Combs, who tops our accounting of rap’s richest with a fortune of $475 million, fueled by his interests in Sean John clothing, Bad Boy Worldwide record label and, most significantly, his Diageo joint-venture vodka brand Ciroc. Jay-Z ranks a close second, with $450 million. Read the rest below:
