Months later we finally receive a visual for J.Cole’s Cole World standout, “Nobody’s Perfect.” Place this with high bass and you’ve got something to jam out to. Nice video as well.
Big congrats to J.Cole. After a major Grammy nomination and his album going gold, he now has a single with platinum sales – “Work Out.” I feel like the reaction to this single was relatively lackluster (in the hip hop blog world, at least), so this is a great achievement.
Via LA Times Learning you were nominated for best new artist must have been surreal. I wasn’t thinking people had seen what I had done, so I had already kind of prepared myself for the letdown. But it caught me off guard. When you first submitted a beat tape to Jay-Z for “American Gangster,” it […]
J.Cole is having a good week. On top of being nominated for a Grammy as best new artist, he posted up this memo he received stating that Cole World has officially gone gold. He says: 9 weeks later. Thank you is an understatement. GOLD World A gold album may not seem like much in the […]
The Dreamville team hits the links in this latest viral video from J.Cole. Cole in that bucket hat having no idea how to swing a golf club is hilarious. Not as funny as Big Sean throwing a baseball, however. I’m messin. At least they’re having a good ass time.
Honestly, this is the treatment J.Cole should have gotten BEFORE the album dropped, but better late than never. Here, he stops by Jimmy Kimmel’s show to perform both “Cole World” and “Work Out.” Just an FYI, but he’ll also be performing on Last Call with Carson Daly tonight as well. Second performance video below:
Gigantic congrats to J.Cole for not only coming in at #1, but landing over 200k for his debut album. The 217k figure may vary slightly, as Billboard will release the exact figure tomorrow morning (I believe), but not by too much. Looking forward to hearing more from the kid as his stock continues to rise. […]
J Cole’s success is testament to amazing artist development and Cole’s hard work. I want to congratulate him on a #1 album and more importantly a great body of work. Jay-Z Via official press release from Sony
***EDIT: Watch for J. Cole to debut atop the Billboard 200 next week with his first album “Cole World: the Sideline Story,” which could move as many as 240,000 to 250,000 copies by week’s end on Oct. 2, so say industry prognosticators. Via Billboard HDD, who is known for making fairly accurate sales projections based […]
I want (fans) to feel like it’s something special. Six weeks after the album’s out, six months, and six years, I want them to be playing it. I just want it to be a timeless piece of work. If I’m successful it can make it easier for a guy like Kendrick Lamar when it’s his […]
J. Cole surprises fans and onlookers in Union Square (New York City) with an impromptu performance of “Can’t Get Enough” for his VEVO GO show. I remember this happened the day of his album listening session.
Get More: J. Cole, MTV Shows MTV PUSH has given the honor of artist of the week to Mr. Jermaine Cole as he drops Cole World today. They conducted a number of interviews with the man, so check more segments out below:
