Bill Adler Speaks About His Def Jam Book
Bill Adler, the co-author of Def Jam Recordings: The First 25 Years of the Last Great Record Label, sits down with Nineteen87 Visuals and Rap Radar for a two-part interview on the exploration into the book. Adler, who served as the in-house publicist during Def Jam’s formative years, had both unique access and prospective on the cultural game changer. From management to musicians, Adler described the people who went into making this book as cooperative and enthusiastic. Part 2 below:

This is pretty cool. Vulture shares an exclusive excerpt from the upcoming paperback re-issue of Jay-Z’s book Decoded. Common Releasing Autobiography, “One Day It’ll All Make Sense”
Following a string of hip hop autobiographies, Common will release his own on September 13th through Atria Books. The book is co-authored by Adam Bradley. I, personally, think Common is one of the more interesting figures in the entertainment world – so it should be a good read. Official description below:
