Chicago’s John Monopoly Launches New Label

Chicago Luminary John Monopoly & Co-Founder Larro Wilson launches new Chicago label Lawless Inc. with breakout artist King Louie. For over a decade, John Monopoly has been instrumental in launching the careers of major recording artist including Kanye West, Carl Thomas, Shawnna and many others. His extensive experience at major record labels (VP of Producer Management at Violator, A&R at Jive Records, COO at G.O.O.D. Music Label) has gained him major press in an arena as one of the most sought after businessmen in Chicago.

Lawless Inc. along with Monopoly has captured the city with its new artist King Louie being featured on Tribune.com, Pitchfork.com, Fakeshoredive.com and major publication Red Eye. Louie’s new single “Too Cool” is currently in rotation at radio stations WGCI & Power 92.3 and will be releasing the remix featuring 2Chainz & Red Café.

The indie label is currently closing a major distribution deal with upcoming releases in 2012. Monopoly’s resume along with his label experience will add notability to Chicago’s music scene and garner the attention of the industry with artists like King Louie. Kanye West quoted Monopoly’s talent in Major hip hop Magazine The Source (November 2006) saying,” He was meant to make power moves in this game, I owe a lot of my success to him.”
