Atlantic’s new artist Phreshy brings us another record on some real rap. I’m impressed with how the homie can go from mainstream music right back to this real rap. Listen to the lyrics, you’ll be impressed. “Friends don’t exist now cuz every time they see me they wanna sit down, talk about they problems and their hard times. Portly Joe recruits the “Popular Demand” duo of Killer Cameran Giles and Pusha Ton to bring you all a new track off The Darkside. Not really feeling the chorus on this, but the track is pretty tough. Clean version for now. Like I said before, The Darkside is shaping up to be a solid album.

Late pass for me, but I just realized I downloaded this song Thurs or Friday but never posted it up here (blame the lovely NYC weather for me not staying inside all wknd). So, in blog time three days late is like three months, but if you didn’t already grab the untagged version of this track, it’s here for you now. Judging by Sean’s statement, I’m not too sure he wanted this to leak, but what’s done is, unfortunately, done in the digital age.

UPDATED – BEST VID of this verse^^^^ went down at the Bamboozle festival in New Jersey last night.

Was searching around and there are a number of videos of this freestyle, but this one has the clearest audio. People are going around saying these are lyrics to a song called “Resistance,” but I’m not personally positive, nor do I have the motivation to do additional research. He’s got some pretty sick one-liners (don’t worry, he addresses his haters) in this so I think it’s a cool vid.

Oh, and let’s give these kiddies some shine as well as they apparently worked the event and had the pleasure of meeting and greeting Drake.

Drake – Miss Me (tagged)

Here goes a tagged up, incomplete version of the Drake/Wayne joint that will be on a new Drake mixtape. The final version is suppose to be on Thank Me Later. This joint is pretty solid for what it is.  It also has a pinch of Bun-B on this, so be on the look out for a verse from him as well. I’m looking forward to the album, and trying to block out the unnecessary hype & hate until i can check it out for myself.

Side note, when folks hype albums up saying stuff similar to “this album is a classic”, does that make you more or less interested?
