Young Jeezy Announces Hustlerz Ambition North American Tour

Odd Future Tour Dates for Feb/March

2 Live Crew to Reunite for a Summer Tour

For those looking for a dose of old school hip hop this Summer, 2 Live Crew has you covered. Rapper and producer Luther Campbell announced at Sundance this past Saturday that the crew will officially be reuniting for a Summer tour.

Campbell says he “just can’t wait to just start practicing” with his old crew. But don’t expect them to be “As Nasty As They Wanna Be.” Campbell says the group will “perform the songs and everybody’s going to be excited.”

SXSW 2012 Initial Hip Hop Lineup

Here are some official hip hop performers for SXSW:

Talib Kweli, ASAP Rocky, Danny Brown, Mr. Muthafuckin’ eXquire, Action Bronson, Rye Rye, K’naan, P.O.S., The Knux, CHALI 2NA, and Kids These Days.

With that said, you definitely need to realize that those performers only touch the surface. There are a ton of unofficial showcases and guests that will show up during other artists’ sets. Check out more performers here.

Ice-T to Perform With Chuck D., Grandmaster Caz at Sundance


Ice-T, Chuck D and Grandmaster Caz are scheduled to perform at the Sundance Institute’s annual Celebration of Music in Film on Jan. 21 in Park City, Utah.

Their performances are to celebrate Ice-T’s documentary “Something From Nothing: The Art of Rap,” co-directed by Andy Baybutt, which examines the craft and skill of the music with input from Afrika Bambaataa, Nas, Mos Def, Eminem, Chuck D, KRS-One, Run-DMC, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube and Snoop Dogg.

Wow. Coachella 2012 Tickets Sell Out In About 3 Hours…

To those planning on attending Coachella – this years festival (both weekends) has already sold out in just about 3 hours. Unfortunately, you’ll have to go about other routes to get tickets.

The Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival is to be held consecutive weekends on April 13-15 and April 20-22 at Empire Polo Field in Indio, Calif.

2012 Coachella Lineup Announced: Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, The Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar, Frank Ocean & More to Perform

After a number of hints, the folks at Coachella finally unveiled their official lineup for the 2012 festival.

A great variation of performers, but as far as hip hop-related acts we have: Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg, The Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar, Frank Ocean, A$AP Rocky, Airplane Boys, AraabMUZIK, Santigold, Azaelia Banks, and Childish Gambino. Expect a grip of others to show up.

Big Sean and Trey Songz to Embark on the Anticipation 2our

Good news for fans of Big Sean and Trey Songz – they’ll be going on about a month long tour from this Fed-March. The Anticipation 2our will include many major U.S. cities as well as one stop in Toronto. Click below for dates:
