Snoop Dogg logged on to Facebook to let the people know that his 12th solo album is currently in the works. Sounds like it’s set to be called Reincarnated.

Oh, and congrats to Snoop for winning MVP at the celebrity football game held in celebration of the Super Bowl.

***UPDATED. Cudi just added “Dr. Pill” to the official track list. WZRD is officially complete, according to the man himself.

Yesterday, Kid Cudi dropped the official track list to his collaboration project with Dot da Genius, WZRD. No features or production notes (although it makes sense that it would be Cudi on the vocals and Dot on the production), but this is what we have to work with until it drops on February 28th. As the Spring/Summer approaches, expect to hear more and more about this G.O.O.D. Music compilation album. Having just gotten back from working on it in London with the likes of Hit Boy, Frank Ocean, Jay Electronica, Marsha Ambrosius, and Mannie Fresh, both Pusha T and Big Sean are expected to be on the album’s first single, called “Lamborghini, Murci.” Also on the single? Mr. Kanye West of course.

The track is supposedly produced by Phoenix-based producer Lifted. Look for more info soon…

Initially intended to be released in February, Nicki Minaj has revealed that her sophomore album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, will be released on April 3rd. Don’t hold your breath for that date to stick, but we shall see.

Both Dot da Genius and Kid Cudi logged on to twitter to talk about the status of their collective WZRD album, which was originally supposed to drop on the 30th. Here’s what Dot Da Genius had to say:

Hey Guys, WZRD Update. Me and Cudi have been working on our debut album and it’s almost near completion. We are in the final stages of mastering but we really had to take time and pay attention to the sonics as this is new territory for us. With that being said, we have decided to change the release date. We are looking roughly at Feb 28th. Y’all know how Cudi is’ and I’m the same way. Everything has to be in place and now it is. I know it’s late notice, we were trying to keep the date but got wrapped up making this album perfect for y’all.

However for making you guys wait a little longer we will release ‘Brake’ & ‘Teleport 2 Me’ on iTunes on the previously said date. AS WELL AS ‘DOSE OF DOPENESS’. Hopefully that will hold you guys over until the album drops!

Kid Cudi just logged on as well to say a few things about WZRD:

My whole career Ive had 2 prove people wrong, WZRD will be no different. This album will finally make people believers, WE CAN DO ANYTHING. U can argue who’s the best mc, who’s the freshest, who sales the most, but it is no contest when I say Iam the ONLY one who can do what I do. UN FUCK WITTABLE. I just wanna save lives….

And then Cudi proceeded to ask for a cover story from Complex, which he will inevitably get since he’s their poster boy. I’m interested in seeing what he and Dot bring with this WZRD project.

According to Pusha T’s blog, the G.O.O.D. Music team is currently in London finishing up the much-anticipated G.O.O.D. Music Compilation album. Obviously, the industry is steadily waiting on this piece of work. Hit Boy up there is currently making his production rounds as well with the team. Despite having a seemingly heavy influence on the streets (which doesn’t matter at this point in the industry…sorry), being involved in big features and some high profile guest appearances on his latest album, Yo Gotti’s Live from the Kitchen is on pace to sell between 12k-15k copies first week. Judging by twitter, it seems as though people are having a hard time even finding the album on store shelves. Yo Gotti logged on to say:

IN NEW YORK N JUST FOUND OUT SO MO FUCKD UP SHIT ABOUT DA LABEL!!! #TheIndustryTrynaHoldMeBack. HOW DA FUCK YU EXPECT A NIGGA TO SALE SUM RECORDS WHEN U DONT SHIP NONE????

Under-shipped? That seems to be the theory at this point. Personally, I think it’s the combination of that and lack of awareness that the album actually dropped in the first place.

Truthfully I’m surprised, but I’m not. I say that because, in my opinion, delay after delay can hurt the artist and/or build up continuous hype. In this case, it seems to have worked in Jeezy’s favor because after the first day of sales, projections are coming in between 200k-225k first week. Insert Jeezy’s “HA-HA” ad-lib here.  Pic Via JDS.

J.Cole is having a good week. On top of being nominated for a Grammy as best new artist, he posted up this memo he received stating that Cole World has officially gone gold. He says:

9 weeks later. Thank you is an understatement. GOLD World

A gold album may not seem like much in the scheme of things, but for a new artist in today’s time? That’s quite an accomplishment.

Looks like Kid Cudi is determined to make that January 30th release date for his WZRD album (with Dot da Genius) stick. Cudi states the the album is complete and is currently in the mixing and mastering stage before it gets turned in.

For fans who enjoy the more traditional hip hop-centric Cudi, he also says work on Man on the Moon III has begun. There are no specifics at this time on that album except for the fact that Common will most likely narrate the album as he did with the first edition.

Good news for Wale fans. With his current success from his Maybach Music debut of Ambition, he has already confirmed that he is two records deep in to his third, untitled album.

I’m just speculating (there’s no tentative date as far as I know), but I would expect his third album to be aimed at Early-Mid Summer 2012 release area…then probably pushed back to Late Summer – Early Fall.

Like his music? Hate his music? Doesn’t matter. Aubrey Graham aka Drake just made another huge statement with the release of Take Care.  He sold 659,190 copies first week and comfortably has the #1 album in the country. He won. Expect that number to change slightly up or down when the exact Billboard figure gets released tomorrow.
